We manufacture our own mattresses onsite and sell them in our showroom, adjacent to the factory. We know our products. We know what’s best for you, and understand exactly how each mattress is made, including the components inside. 


We’re sleep experts who love mattresses. We will never sell a bed just to make a sale. Our goal is to improve your life by improving your sleep. We only use the highest-quality materials to make the most comfortable and long-lasting bed for you, all while meeting your financial needs.

Delivery

We offer delivery most days of the week in the Rochester area. Out-of-town delivery is based on mileage.

Delivery choices:

Front Door Delivery: Lower-cost option. We deliver to your front door (no indoor setup).

Delivery + Setup: We deliver inside, set up your new mattress, and move/remove your old one.

How scheduling works: Your delivery day is scheduled at the time of sale. The day before delivery, we’ll call to confirm and provide a two-hour arrival window based on our delivery route.

Time-specific delivery: For an additional fee, you may request a specific delivery time, and we’ll arrive within +/- 20 minutes.

Disposal

We offer old mattress and box spring removal for a fee when we deliver your new mattress (priced per piece).
If you’re picking up, you can bring your old mattress to us for disposal as well.

For a lower-cost option, take your mattress/box spring to the Olmsted County Recycling Center or your county’s recycling center.

Comfort Guarantee

A comfort adjustment is for comfort preference changes — not a defect. If your mattress is still in good condition but feels too firm or too soft, we offer comfort adjustments on select models for a fee. This may include changing the comfort layers or the coil.

The Team

Charlie Dixon – Owner
Charlie Dixon’s dedication to customer service and quality began long before he started building mattresses. Growing up in Rochester, he learned the value of hard work early on — delivering newspapers for the Post-Bulletin and working at Erdman’s Meat Department cleaning equipment. Those early jobs shaped the work ethic and attention to detail that still guide him today.

Charlie eventually began working part-time at Rochester Mattress Co., where he built box springs and helped with deliveries. What started as a job quickly became a lifelong passion. The mattresses he worked with were well-built and designed to last for decades, and Charlie saw firsthand how meaningful it was to provide customers with a product that truly improved their daily lives.

That experience led him to start his own company, and in 1991, Charlie opened Rest Assured Mattress Factory. Today, Charlie still takes his turn on the showroom floor, but much of his time is spent behind the scenes keeping everything running smoothly. In the winter months, you can often find him riding his motorcycle in the Arizona desert.

Charlie’s favorite part of the job is seeing customers leave with a mattress that fits their needs — and sharing that work alongside his wife, Cindy, and his daughter, Liz, as a family-run business built on craftsmanship, honesty, and service.
Meet Liz! Liz has been working full-time at Rest Assured since July of 2011 (though she was forced to work here in her teenage years 😄). Now, as an adult, she feels incredibly lucky to have a job she truly loves — she genuinely enjoys waking up and coming into work each day. One of her favorite parts of working at Rest Assured is that no two days are the same: she might be delivering mattresses, repairing a sewing machine, or helping customers find the right bed.

Her favorite mattress we sell is the Combi Zone Flex, and her goal is always the same — to help customers feel comfortable, listened to, and confident they’re choosing a mattress that will truly improve their sleep. Liz also wants customers to know they should always feel comfortable coming back and talking with her if they ever have questions or concerns about their mattress. She understands how hard it can be to find the perfect fit — even growing up in the business, it still took her three tries to find hers!

Outside of work, Liz loves spending time on the water in the summer with her husband and two daughters.

Meet Cindy! Cindy began working at Rest Assured in 2011, coming out of retirement to join the family business. She works part-time and brings a little bit of everything to the team — helping customers on the sales floor, sewing covers, and taking care of bookkeeping (which she actually really enj oys!). Cindy loves the variety her job offers, and she takes pride in helping improve people’s quality of sleep by listening carefully, understanding their needs, and guiding them toward the right mattress. Outside of work, Cindy is a pickleball fanatic and spends just about all her free time out on the courts. She also enjoys spending her winters in warm, sunny Arizona and coming back to Minnesota in the summer.
